Pros & cons
Pros
- Auto-dimming reads the room and adjusts brightness for you, so the desk stays evenly lit without fiddling
- It clips to the top of your monitor and lights the desk without a lamp eating surface space
- Touch controls put brightness a fingertip away, no reaching behind the screen
Cons
- Build and light quality sit a clear step below BenQ's Screenbar line
- The clip needs a compatible top bezel, so it won't grip a laptop lid or an unusually thin or deep screen
Skip it if
Skip it if you want BenQ's higher build and light quality, or if your screen is a laptop or an unusually thin or deep panel the clip can't grip.
How we assessed it
We synthesized this
The Quntis Monitor Light Bar clips to the top edge of your monitor and lights the desk below without a lamp taking up surface space. Touch controls and auto-dimming handle brightness for you — the bar reads the room and adjusts so the page in front of you stays evenly lit through the day. It covers the same core desk-lighting job as the better-known BenQ Screenbar in a simpler package, which is why it's our pick for people who want screen-bar lighting without the flagship.
The trade-offs are clear-eyed. Build and light quality sit a step below BenQ's Screenbar line, and the clip needs a compatible top bezel — it won't grip a laptop lid or an unusually thin or deep panel. If your setup is a laptop or you want the higher-end finish, this isn't the match. Our read is a synthesis of the documented controls and mount weighed against the BenQ rather than a hands-on test — see how we test.
