Editorial policy
Our editorial independence
The fair question to ask any affiliate site is whether the commission decides the ranking. Here, it does not. Recommendations on this site are editorially independent and never pay-to-play. We accept no payment from any brand, manufacturer, or retailer in exchange for coverage, a ranking, a placement, or a kinder verdict. No company can buy its way onto a list, and none sees our copy before you do. What we recommend is decided by our stated method, full stop.
How we make money
Our only monetization is the Amazon Associates program. When you follow one of our links to Amazon and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission, and you pay nothing extra. The commission is the same whichever product you choose, so it can never tilt a recommendation. We disclose it plainly — beside the first link on every money page, in the footer, and in full on our affiliate disclosure page.
How we choose and refresh picks
Every pick is chosen against written criteria for a specific reader and job, then labeled with how we reached it: tested, researched, or synthesized. We explain that method in detail on our how-we-test page. We revisit decisions on a regular cadence, and sooner when something changes — a pick is no longer one we would recommend, the criteria shift, or a stronger contender appears. When a pick changes, the page's update date changes with it.
Corrections
We take accuracy seriously, and we correct mistakes in the open. When we get something wrong, we fix it and, where it materially changes a recommendation, note what changed. We would rather be corrected than stay wrong, so we treat a reader's catch as a favor, not a nuisance.
How to flag an error
Found something that looks off? Tell us through our contact page. Point us to the page and the specific claim, and we will look into it promptly. Reader corrections make this site better, and we are grateful for every one.
