How we assessed it
We synthesized this
The HUANUO is a frame, not a finished desk — and for the right person, that's the feature. Choosing the base on its own lets you reuse a desktop you already have or mount a custom top up to 75 by 35 inches, so the surface matches your room and taste instead of whatever a bundled desk dictates. The motor is brushless, which means it raises and lowers noticeably quieter than the typical gear motors in this category — a real plus in a shared room or on a work call. It suits anyone who already owns a top they love, or wants to choose one.
The trade-off is built into the concept: you supply the desktop, so this isn't the pick if you want something ready to use the moment it's assembled. Our read is synthesized from documented specs and reputation, not a hands-on noise test — see how we test.
